Dogs jump on people  because they want to interact and people ‘s faces are up high . What do people usually do ? Push the dog down, or tell it off, or even  pat it – all of which are interacting with the  dog .

How  do we stop  the dog from jumping ? 

By knowing why the dog is jumping,  we can  teach it that  jumping on people doesn’t get it what it wants .  There are a number of simple ways  to teach your dog  that jumping doesn’t get it interaction with people,  or  to do something else  instead of jumping, and with consistency  this annoying habit will cease .
